The sanctuary conducts a variety of workshops each year to provide educators with the resources and training to support ocean literacy in the classroom and in the community.

Aloha `Aina - Workshop for Educators in Celebration of the International Year of the Reef

Description:
Open to all educators teaching 7th Grade. The workshop will provide teachers with updated education materials that focus on marine environment and integrate Hawaiian culture with science, math and language arts. Further educational material, such as a teacher’s guide with lesson plans and other components will be provided.
Space is limited, so register early (deadline October 15, 2008). Download the flyer for registration details and a listing of all participating partners.
